Timberline Glamping unveiled its newest location on the Alabama Gulf Coast. The new site, in partnership with the City of Orange Beach and Alabama State Parks at Young’s Hideaway, offers a blend of nature and beach access.

Guests at this location will enjoy trail access on one side and beach access just across the street. The safari tents are designed for outdoor comfort, equipped with ensuite bathrooms.

“We’ve created another perfect space for you to daydream, relax and enjoy the natural world around us,” co-founder Rebeka Self said, as reported by Gulf Coast Media on August 7.

She emphasized the vision she and her husband had to make camping with families easier, which has now blossomed into a business with 22 locations.

“Our expansion to the Alabama (Gulf) Coast makes even more glamping dreams possible for the upcoming travel season when folks can comfortably get out there and thrive in our beautiful locations,” she explained.

In addition to the Alabama Gulf Coast, Timberline Glamping operates in Georgia, Florida, and Virginia. Each location offers experiences that include nature trails, lake activities, and a variety of accommodations such as safari tents, cozy bell tents, and retro RVs.

The accommodations are designed with modern home decor, providing hotel-quality beds with sheets and comforters, air conditioning/heaters, mini-fridges, coffee makers, and electrical outlets.

Outdoor amenities also feature hammocks, fire pits, charcoal grills with cooking grates, string lights, camp chairs, and picnic tables. According to its website, although Wi-Fi is not provided, guests can rely on a strong cell phone signal to create a hotspot and stay connected if necessary.

Timberline Glamping Company, originally known as Georgia Glamping Company, was established in 2018 by Nathan and Rebeka Self. They saw the necessity for their young family to spend more time outdoors.

“What started out as a dream quickly became a passion and full time job of creating unique, one-of-a-kind getaways in nature for their guests,” Timberline Glamping said on its website.
