The Outdoor Recreation Roundtable (ORR) has added 12 new organizations to its national coalition, further strengthening its role in the $1.2 trillion outdoor recreation economy.
The announcement includes nine new members and three new partners from across the business, academic, nonprofit, and government sectors.
The new members include Ascis Solutions, Colorado State University’s Department of Human Dimensions of Natural Resources, Conservation Legacy, Granite Outdoor Alliance, Innovate Alabama, National Park College, the National Recreation and Park Association, Northwest Arkansas Community College’s Trail Technician Program, and SE Group.
New partners joining the coalition are the Audubon Society, Harvest Hosts, and the Outdoors Tomorrow Foundation.
According to a press release, ORR President Jessica Turner said the additions demonstrate the strength and diversity of the outdoor recreation sector and its commitment to equitable access and economic growth.
“From cutting-edge trail technician programs to conservation-focused nonprofits, these organizations represent the full range of innovation and energy that defines the outdoor recreation economy,” Turner said.
The new members bring specialized expertise and a shared goal of expanding access to the outdoors. Aneil Kumar, president and CEO of Ascis Solutions, highlighted the company’s excitement to contribute more directly to the industry.
“We look forward to collaborating with other members to advance the programs and policies that promote participation in outdoor recreation,” Kumar said.
Colorado State University also emphasized the value of cross-sector collaboration in its new role with ORR.
“We recognize the power of cross-sector collaboration to strengthen partnerships, advance shared goals, and ensure that research, community voices, and best practices inform decision-making at every level,” said Lindsey Shirley, senior associate vice president for Engagement and Extension at CSU’s Warner College of Natural Resources.
The announcement comes amid growing federal and state interest in outdoor recreation as an economic driver and public health asset. ORR has played a role in uniting stakeholders across the public and private sectors to advocate for policies that support access, infrastructure, and workforce development.
