Three caravan parks in Norfolk have been recognized in the annual Outstanding Sites 2026 list published by Campsites.co.uk, highlighting camping, touring, and glamping destinations across the United Kingdom. The recognition places sites in Happisburgh, Fakenham, and King’s Lynn among a nationwide selection of parks noted for guest satisfaction and consistent visitor experiences.
The Outstanding Sites 2026 list was launched by Campsites.co.uk as part of its annual review of camping and outdoor accommodation businesses. According to the company, the list recognizes sites that have earned strong feedback from guests and maintained positive reputations among travelers seeking camping, touring, and glamping experiences.
Martin Smith, founder of Campsites.co.uk, told the Eastern Daily Press: “It’s a real pleasure to launch our list of outstanding sites for 2026.
“The chosen campsites are all trusted favourites with our campers and sites we’re proud to put our name to, so you can book with confidence.”
Among the Norfolk businesses included is Old Brick Kilns, located on the outskirts of Fakenham. The 13-acre site offers a range of amenities, including a fishing lake, children’s play area, games room, and an on-site shop selling homemade produce and fresh bread.
The park has received a guest rating of 4.83 stars, with 97% of visitors indicating they would recommend the site. The recognition follows additional industry acknowledgment in 2025, when Old Brick Kilns was named runner-up for Best Caravan Park in the East of England at the Campsites.co.uk Awards.
Also featured on the 2026 list is Manor Caravan Park in Happisburgh. The family-operated park is situated within walking distance of Happisburgh Beach and the historic Happisburgh Lighthouse. The site offers dog-friendly accommodations, an on-site shop, and proximity to local hospitality venues, including a nearby pub.
The third Norfolk property recognized was Gatton Waters Caravan Park in King’s Lynn. The touring-focused site features 75 grass pitches arranged around a fishing lake and offers both day and seasonal fishing passes. Its location provides access to several coastal destinations, including Snettisham, Heacham, and Hunstanton, as well as the nearby Sandringham Estate.
The annual recognition reflects the continued importance of guest reviews and visitor experience in the outdoor hospitality sector. For campground, caravan park, and glamping operators, listings such as the Outstanding Sites awards illustrate how amenities, location, customer service, and positive guest feedback can contribute to industry recognition and market visibility.
As travelers increasingly rely on online reviews and booking platforms when selecting accommodations, maintaining strong guest satisfaction scores remains a key business consideration for operators seeking to attract repeat visitors and strengthen occupancy levels.
The 2026 list includes a variety of accommodation styles across the UK, ranging from family-oriented parks with recreational activities to adult-only retreats and luxury glamping destinations, reflecting the broad range of experiences currently shaping demand within the outdoor hospitality market.
