Sunnyvale Holiday Park To Have Improvements For More Accommodation

Pembrokeshire County Council approved the plans that will result in permanent accommodation being built along with an extension of the swimming pool area of Sunnyvale Holiday Park (United Kingdom), according to a report by the Western Telegraph.

The park, situated at Valley Road near Saundersfoot, will provide self-contained first-floor accommodation above the reception area, which is accessible via a stairwell in the reception space.

The apartment will comprise the master room, two bedrooms, a bathroom for the family, an open-plan kitchen, and a living and dining space.

A spokesperson for Sunnyvale Holiday Park said the reception area currently used is a uni-story flat roof structure and an open floor that houses the holiday park and retail space reception area.

The park’s holiday area will have extensions that will include an eastern timber frame extension, which will provide more poolside seating and sun loungers.

A flat roof that is split level will be built on the area of seating to allow circulation, and also a higher-level pitched roof above the pool.

The park’s spokesperson stated that the current pool has a steel frame construction, which is a complete length along its perimeter and has high-quality windows and an extended Domed-like Perspex roof.

The seating area undercover is currently arranged around the pool. There is also outside seating available towards the north of the structure.

A set of steps leads from the carpark down to the patio area outside and then to the pool level.

A window in the reception will be replaced by side screens and doors that will allow guests to access the seating area proposed through the reception.

The plans for the accommodation and the pool were submitted to the Pembrokeshire County Council in October, and County Hall representatives approved the application on December 1.

A spokesperson for the county council said positive economic impacts would be achieved through spending on construction materials and labor during construction and also from the tourism economy.

The proposal would deliver varied additional holiday accommodations and upgraded facilities within an existing holiday park which is located immediately adjoining the settlement boundary of Pentlepoir and, therefore, in a sustainable location.

The proposal would benefit the local community by attracting visitors to the local area.
