Stanley Villa Farm Fishing and Camping in Weeton-with-Preese, Lancashire, has received two industry recognitions following a series of investments and facility upgrades completed over the past year.
The family-operated glamping and camping destination was named Camping, Glamping and Holiday Park of the Year at the Lancashire Tourism Awards and also earned Tripadvisor’s 2025 Travellers’ Choice Award, placing it among the top 10% of listings worldwide based on guest reviews and ratings. The latest Tripadvisor recognition marks the 11th consecutive year the business has received the award.
Located approximately 15 minutes from Blackpool, the site offers a range of accommodation options including camping pods, bell tents, and holiday lodges. Several accommodations include private hot tubs, while all units feature individual fire pits. The bell tents are also equipped with wood-burning stoves.
The awards come after a period of investment across the property. Recent additions include three luxury holiday lodges overlooking the fishing lake and five new family pods, along with upgraded accessible facilities.
Over the past 12 months, the business has also introduced a new amenities block with updated restroom and shower facilities, an outdoor games area for families, and additional wood-fired hot tubs.
The site has also expanded its activity offerings, including animal feeding experiences, fishing opportunities, and outdoor play areas aimed at families visiting the destination.
Owner Alex Young told LancsLive: “One of the things we’re most passionate about is giving children a proper outdoor break away from screens.”
“With all the current conversation around children, phones and social media, we think places like Stanley Villa are more important than ever. Our whole ethos is about helping families slow down, switch off and spend proper time together.”
“Children can feed the animals, toast marshmallows around the fire pit, try fishing, explore the fairy trail, play outside and enjoy the sort of simple outdoor fun that many of us remember from our own childhoods.”
He added: “We’re not anti-technology, but we do think families are increasingly looking for breaks where the kids naturally put their devices down because there’s something better to do.
“That’s what we try to create here – a safe, relaxed countryside escape where children can be children and parents can enjoy seeing them outdoors, making memories.”
Speaking about the awards, he said: “As a family-run business, it means a huge amount to see the hard work recognised, especially after such a busy period of investment across the site.”
For outdoor hospitality operators, the recognition highlights the continued importance of guest satisfaction, facility improvements, and family-focused programming in attracting positive reviews and repeat visitation.
As travelers increasingly seek experiences that combine comfort with outdoor recreation, investments in accommodations, amenities, and activities can play a role in strengthening a property’s reputation and competitive position within the growing glamping and camping market.
Accommodation rates at Stanley Villa Farm Fishing and Camping start at approximately £60 per night for pods during off-peak periods, while bell tents start at around £85 per night. Reservations can be secured with a £49 deposit, with the remaining balance due six weeks before arrival.
