South Cliff Holiday Park and Sewerby Hall Cottages Join Bridlington Tourism Network

South Cliff Holiday Park and Sewerby Hall Cottages have joined the Bridlington Tourist Association (BTA), a membership-based nonprofit organization focused on promoting Bridlington as a visitor destination and supporting the local tourism economy.

The move signals closer collaboration between accommodation providers and the wider tourism network in the area, with an emphasis on coordinated marketing and quality assurance.

The BTA works with accommodation operators, attractions, and local businesses to improve visitor experience through shared initiatives such as destination marketing, information services, and standards-based assessments.

Membership also connects businesses to programs designed to encourage longer stays and increased visitor spending across Bridlington and the surrounding areas.

As part of the membership, guests staying at South Cliff Holiday Park and Sewerby Hall Cottages, as well as holiday homeowners at South Cliff Holiday Park, will have access to the Bridlington Passport scheme.

The initiative provides discounts and special offers at participating businesses, including attractions, cafés, restaurants, and local experiences. The program is intended to drive foot traffic to partner businesses while offering added value to visitors.

Accommodation at both sites will also undergo assessment by the BTA. These evaluations are designed to confirm that properties meet recognized benchmarks for quality, facilities, and overall guest experience.

For operators, participation in such assessments can serve as a signaling mechanism to prospective guests and may contribute to improved customer trust and booking conversion rates.

Councillor Nick Coultish, cabinet member for culture, leisure and tourism at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: “We are beyond pleased to be joining the Bridlington Tourist Association. Becoming members provides us with stronger links to the local tourism network and gives us the opportunity to further promote our incredible accommodation offer within the area.’’

Coby Kemp, destination facilities service manager for South Cliff Holiday Park and Sewerby Hall Cottages, added: “The Bridlington Passport encourages visitors to explore the area and support local businesses. The accommodation assessment demonstrates our ongoing focus on quality, adding even more value to our visitor and holiday homeowner experience.”

Sarah, president of the Bridlington Tourist Association, said in a news release: “We are delighted to welcome South Cliff Holiday Park and Sewerby Hall Cottages as members of the BTA. Their commitment to quality accommodation and supporting the local visitor economy aligns strongly with our aim to promote Bridlington as a welcoming, high-quality destination.”

While no specific launch date for the membership benefits or assessment timeline has been disclosed, such partnerships typically align with peak tourism periods, allowing operators to maximize exposure during high-demand seasons.

For business owners in the outdoor hospitality and glamping sectors, the development highlights the role of local tourism associations in building demand through collective marketing and incentive programs.

Participation in discount schemes like the Bridlington Passport can help increase guest engagement beyond the accommodation itself, while third-party quality assessments may support brand positioning in a competitive market. These strategies can be particularly relevant for operators seeking to strengthen local partnerships, diversify revenue streams, and enhance the overall guest experience.
