SF Parks has announced plans for a multi-million-pound sustainable treehouse development at WhiteHouse Leisure Park in Towyn, marking the latest phase in the company’s investment strategy.
The proposal includes three landscaped treehouses featuring private swimming pools, fire pits, and sauna pods, aiming to offer a distinctive and high-end accommodation option.
If approved, this project will complement the park’s existing amenities, including a recently constructed climbing wall, a high-ropes course, and ‘The Jump’ attraction.
Additional upgrades are also planned for Jakes family restaurant and pub, an amusement arcade, a cinema room, a soft play area, as well as a spa and gym.
The project follows recent approval for another major development at SF Parks’ neighboring Golden Gate Holiday Centre, which will see the addition of a six-lane bowling alley, rooftop bar, an expanded amusement arcade, and a new reception area.
According to a report by News From Wales, both developments were designed by Conwy-based AK Architects.
Jonathan Seldon, SF Parks director, expressed optimism about the treehouse project’s potential impact.
“The designs are incredible, and we are hopeful – subject to planning permission – this will be a high-quality, unique addition to WhiteHouse Leisure Park,” he said.
He also highlighted the accommodations’ appeal to families and the company’s efforts to diversify its offerings.
Oliver Seldon, also a director at SF Parks, noted that the company has made significant investments in recent years to enhance its portfolio.
“The last few years have seen us invest significantly in our portfolio as we aim to provide even more for our owners and visitors – this could be the biggest project yet,” he said.
For business owners in the outdoor hospitality sector, SF Parks’ expansion signals a broader industry trend toward upscale, experience-driven accommodations.
As consumer expectations shift, integrating sustainable luxury options may help parks attract new demographics while boosting occupancy rates.
The addition of year-round attractions, such as the bowling alley and spa facilities, also reflects an industry-wide push toward increasing off-season revenue streams.
With SF Parks operating multiple parks across the region, including Riverside, Sun Valley, and Sirior Bach, these developments highlight ongoing investments in North Wales’ holiday park sector.
If successful, the planned enhancements could set a new benchmark for resort-style accommodations in the area.
