A holiday park in Cornwall has been named the best in the United Kingdom at the AA Caravan and Camping Awards 2024. Trevornick Holiday Park, located in Holywell Bay, Newquay, earned the top accolade, highlighting the country’s leading campsites and caravan parks.
The award recognizes facilities with high-quality standards, excellent customer service, and a commitment to exceeding expectations. Trevornick impressed the judges with its diverse amenities, including various recreational and accommodation options.
According to a report by The Falmouth Packet, Robert Hartley, co-owner of Trevornick Holiday Park, expressed pride in the recognition, calling it a remarkable achievement. He highlighted the timing of the award as significant, coinciding with the park’s 61st year in operation.
His brother and co-owner, Richard Hartley, noted the range of on-site activities, which allows guests to enjoy a complete holiday experience without leaving the park.
Trevornick features a range of amenities, such as a heated outdoor swimming pool, a splash zone with water jets, and a spa area that includes a sauna and hot tub.
Recreational options extend to adventure trails, two fishing lakes, and multiple golf courses, including an 18-hole pitch and putt. The park also offers mini-golf and is situated close to the beach, making it a popular choice for surfers and families alike.
Accommodation options at the park include modern static caravans, touring and camping pitches, Euro-style ready tents, and luxury lodges. Larger groups can also opt for three traditional Cornish cottages or a farmhouse.
The touring caravan site offers convenient access to Holywell Bay, famously featured in Poldark. Among the standout Newquay campsites, it provides a range of 5-star amenities, including a launderette, pristine toilet and shower facilities, and a well-equipped on-site shop to meet guests’ needs.
The park’s proximity to Holywell Bay and its scenic coastal views are among the features that continue to draw guests from Cornwall and beyond.
