A Llandysul-based campervan converter has been named Campervan Conversion Company of the Year for the second consecutive time at the Wales Prestige Awards, a result that points to the growing professionalism and consumer demand in a segment of the RV market that OEMs have largely watched from the sidelines.
AB Campers & Vehicle Conversions won the award after more than 2,000 nominations were received from customers, readers and industry professionals.
The awards celebrate small and medium-sized businesses for customer service, innovation, branding and sustained growth, according to an article by Cambrian News.
The company offers full and part campervan conversions, repairs and upgrades, vehicle sourcing and campervan hire, and sells converted vans from its forecourt.
It also designs and manufactures its own premium products, including pop-top roofs and bespoke furniture, and stocks the largest range of Rock ‘n’ Roll beds in Wales.

Bush sees campervans as a gateway to the outdoors. “There’s no better way to explore Wales than by campervan,” he said. “It’s something we’re passionate about helping more people enjoy.”
For RV manufacturers, the result is worth watching. Campervan conversion shops like AB Campers are manufacturing their own components — pop-top roofs, furniture, bed systems — and building finished vehicles without relying on a traditional OEM supply chain.
