The Scottish Caravan, Motorhome & Holiday Home Show will return to Glasgow’s SEC from February 6 to 9, marking its comeback with an initiative aimed at inspiring domestic travel.
Organizers have partnered with Scottish tourism expert and influencer Andy The Highlander to create an “Enchanted Map of Scotland,” highlighting some of the country’s most mysterious and scenic destinations.
The map showcases sites like Loch Ness, ancient castles with storied pasts, and mist-shrouded peaks, inviting travelers to explore Scotland’s rich heritage and landscapes.
The collaboration taps into growing interest in unique and enigmatic travel experiences.
According to a report by The Herald, the initiative aligns with broader trends, as travelers increasingly seek out destinations with historical or mythical significance.
Jillyanne Lamarra, the event’s show manager, emphasized the role of the map in encouraging sustainable and flexible travel.
“Our magical map is a celebration of Scotland’s unparalleled charm and diversity, encouraging travelers to embrace the freedom and joy of exploration while supporting sustainable tourism,” she said.
Designed with industry innovation in mind, the event will also highlight new developments in the holiday home and motorhome sector.
For the first time, the show will debut an Accessible Holiday Home in partnership with Border Caravans, addressing a key gap in the market for inclusive travel options.
Alongside this, the show will feature a Farmer’s Market showcasing local food and drink, an e-bike testing area, a climbing wall, and family-friendly activities.
Andy The Highlander, known for his dedication to Scottish tourism, praised the collaboration:
“I believe there is no better way to see our beautiful country than to immerse yourself in its landscape – and what better way to do that than to travel by caravan, motorhome or book a holiday home.”
He expressed excitement about the potential impact of the map on visitors’ itineraries, as well as the variety of travel solutions on display at the event.
For professionals in the outdoor hospitality industry, the show offers an opportunity to engage with the latest trends in sustainable travel, accessibility, and experiential tourism.
By presenting products and ideas that cater to evolving consumer demands, the event serves as a hub for innovation and collaboration within the sector.
