Over 26,000 Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show Tickets Booked

NCC Events, organizers of one of the most significant UK events, the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show, confirmed that more than 26,000 tickets had been sold ahead of the event in February 2022.

They claim that this is ten times more tickets sold in previous years and suggests an increase in demand following the cancellation of shows in the last two years because of the pandemic, according to a report.

The event will take place across five halls at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC), and both the Caravan and Motorhome Club and the Camping and Caravanning Club will welcome their numerous members to the event.

To help support the growing trend in interest in campervans, there will be 50 percent more models on display.

There will be free leisure activities offered, including a custom-built indoor pool for visitors to experience kayaking and paddleboarding, as well as an information center for people who are new to the world of leisure vehicles and various other options.

John Lally, CEO of NCC Events, said the strong ticket sales indicate pent-up demand.

“We know that not only are there a lot of new buyers coming into the industry, but many of the core markets of caravanners have held off upgrading their outfits,” Lally added.

Interest in leisure vehicles is such that Channel 5 have chosen to focus on the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show, as part of their new year programming, with filming taking place during the show and aired “live” during the event to an anticipated 1.5 million viewers. It’s great publicity for our exhibitors – interest in the industry has never been so high!”

“This will be the first major leisure vehicle exhibition in the UK for two years, and we know that many will have missed the opportunity to step inside the latest models, compare the different layouts and specifications, and talk face-to-face with others who share their love of the touring lifestyle.”

“We are delighted that so many manufacturers across product categories are using the show as a platform to launch new models and utilizing the event to present their brand to an audience that has boomed with many newcomers.”

Lally added that there would be an excellent range of well-equipped holiday homes, lodges, and tents on offer.

“There really is no better place to see what’s on, choose a perfect vehicle and chat to a friendly face who can reassure, offer advice and demonstrate features on their chosen products,” Lally ended.

Terry Dullaghan, Interim MD of NCC Events, said that they are looking forward to the industry putting on a magnificent show. There will be a huge choice of British and Continental models of motorhomes and campervans across all price points.

NCC Events is working with the NEC to make sure that the event is compliant with COVID health and safety protocols so that the employees of the 354 stand holders and visitors to the show can enjoy the largest opening of the season event as safe as possible.
