Major Investment Boosts North Wales Holiday Parks and Local Economy

Leading leisure company SF Parks is set to make a significant investment in two key North Wales holiday parks, aiming to create jobs, support the coastal economy, and enhance visitor experiences.

The company has secured planning permission for new facilities and upgrades at White House Leisure Park in Towyn. It has proposed further developments at the neighboring Golden Gate Holiday Centre, according to a report by North Wales Live.

White House Leisure Park will soon feature a high ropes course, spa, sauna, gym complex, and wine bar. Upgrades will be made to the popular Jakes family restaurant and pub.

At the same time, an amusement arcade, cinema room, and soft play area will be added to the existing facilities, which include a crazy golf course and various food and drink outlets.

Meanwhile, directors Jonathan and Oliver Seldon have proposed the construction of a rooftop bar, bowling alley, and new reception area at Golden Gate Holiday Centre, in addition to extending the existing arcade.

SF Parks is also aiming to extend the holiday season at Golden Gate from seven-and-a-half months to ten-and-a-half months, creating more full-time employment opportunities and promoting spending in the local area year-round.

Jonathan Seldon expressed gratitude for the support received from Conwy’s planning team and local councilors.

“Our vision is to keep enhancing the customer experience, investing in our parks, and most importantly, contributing to the local economy through jobs and tourism,” he said.

The extension of the holiday season at Golden Gate is expected to benefit the park, local businesses, and the community by fostering increased economic activity throughout the year. As more full-time employment opportunities become available, the area will likely see greater growth and development.

SF Parks’ investment plans extend beyond these two parks. The company intends to upgrade other parks in the region and potentially expand its operations in the future.

Currently, SF Parks owns five parks in North Wales, including Riverside and Sun Valley in Rhuddlan, and Sirior Bach in Moelfre, Abergele.

Oliver Seldon believes their commitment to the North Wales coast and efforts to become a more sustainable organization will help them successfully navigate the post-pandemic landscape.

The company eagerly anticipates consulting with customers and the local community to gather feedback and suggestions on the proposed plans for Golden Gate Holiday Centre.

Jim Jones, CEO of North Wales Tourism, emphasized the importance of investing in revitalizing seaside towns.

“The revitalization of our seaside towns through investment is essential in helping to boost the local economy, creating new opportunities for businesses and our community alike,” he said.

The investments made by SF Parks in their North Wales holiday parks are poised to greatly impact the local economy, employment, and the region’s appeal as a tourism destination for campers, UK Caravan Park owners, Holiday Park owners, and campgrounds.
