According to a local report, a unique glamping festival run by a Harrogate couple is set to double in size this year after its massive success.
The Knaresborough-based festival, Glampfest, was created five years ago by James and Sarah Martin, camping enthusiasts and owners of Glawning Ltd.
The festival was originally held to bring together Glawning customers, but due to its surging popularity after last year’s return from lockdown, the festival is now expanding.
Glampfest 2023 will take place on fields located at Market Flat Lane between Scotton and Scriven, offering even more exciting activities, live music from local talent, delicious street food and hand-crafted products.
Co-owner Sarah Martin stated that everyone is welcome to this year’s festival and attendees don’t need to own a Glawning to attend.
The festival promises to be a grand party of luxurious glamping and live music from local bands, along with forest school, storytelling, wellbeing tents, crafts, face painting, physical education sessions, yoga, drum workshops, stalls of hand-crafted products, and many more stunning camping setups.
Glampfest was created by James and Sarah Martin in 2017, after the couple searched for a more luxurious way of camping with their vintage campervan.
They founded Glawning Ltd in 2013, a business that received numerous awards, including the Micro Business of the Year Award from The Federation of Small Businesses.
Glampfest 2023 will take place on May 12-14 and weekend and day tickets are now available for purchase on their website.
Donations will also be made to a chosen charity, making the festival a great way to have fun and give back to the community.
Glampfest is a perfect event for camping enthusiasts and anyone looking for a relaxed and fun experience. With its expansion and various activities, this festival is a must-attend for anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience.

About Glawning
James and Sarah, two enthusiastic campervan enthusiasts, were disappointed to find that the traditional green nylon awnings were not comfortable or stylish.
Instead of accepting defeat, they took the challenge and created their own glamorous bell-tent awning, which they named “glawning.” On their trips to campsites and festivals, they received positive feedback from fellow campervanners and in 2013, they founded Glawning.
The glawning became a hit among campervan enthusiasts across the UK and beyond.
Over the years, Glawning has expanded its product line and built a thriving community of glawning owners.
The company has also established its own charity festival, Glampfest, and won several awards, including the 2019 Brand Yorkshire Business Award for Best Micro Business.
