Evergreen Escapes Group Expands Portfolio to Six Parks with Three New Additions

Evergreen Escapes Group has expanded its portfolio with the addition of three holiday parks, bringing its total number of locations to six as it continues to pursue growth targets outlined for the next five years.

The newly added sites include Aspen Lodge Escape in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk; Cherry Bird Lodge Escape in Newbury, Berkshire; and Willow Bay Lodge Escape in Holsworthy, Devon. According to the company, all three parks were previously acquired by its private equity backers and have now been formally integrated into the Evergreen Escapes Group portfolio.

The expansion aligns with the group’s stated objective to build a portfolio of between 15 and 20 holiday parks and leisure resorts over a five-year period. While financial details of the transfers were not disclosed, the move consolidates assets under a single operating brand, which may support efficiencies in marketing, operations, and customer acquisition.

Each of the three parks has recently launched its own dedicated website, while bookings are also available through travel agents via Hoseasons, a distribution channel commonly used within the UK holiday park sector.

This dual-channel approach reflects an industry trend toward balancing direct booking strategies with third-party partnerships to maximize occupancy and reach.

Evergreen Escapes Group chief executive Geoff Cowley told Travel Weekly that it was business as usual across the newly integrated locations.

He said: “Each of these three fantastic locations further brings to life the ‘escape the urban’ ethos at the heart of our brand and we look forward to working with our teams on park to ensure our guests and owners get the most from their stays. We’ll also be looking at opportunities to deploy smart capital that will extend the offer and further enhance guest experience.”

The latest additions follow a series of acquisitions earlier this year. In January, the group completed a multi-million-pound deal to acquire two Cornwall holiday parks from Hoburne Holidays, which have since been rebranded as Doublebois Lodge Escape and St Mabyn Lodge Escape.

Prior to that, Evergreen Escapes made its first major acquisition with the purchase of Manor and Ashbury Resorts in Devon last year. The company has since begun the first phase of a multi-year refurbishment program at the Okehampton site, including upgrades to accommodations and dining facilities.

For operators and investors in the outdoor hospitality sector, Evergreen Escapes Group’s expansion illustrates a continued appetite for consolidation and brand-led portfolio development.

The integration of privately backed assets into a unified operating structure may offer insights into scaling strategies, particularly around brand positioning, capital deployment, and distribution partnerships.

As the group progresses toward its target of up to 20 parks, its approach may serve as a case study in how mid-sized operators can grow through a combination of acquisition, refurbishment, and centralized management.
