Billing Aquadrome, a holiday park in Northampton, has completed a major £8 million regeneration project just in time for the summer season. The extensive upgrades are complemented by a special offer of half-price staycations, making it an attractive destination for families and adventurers looking for a budget-friendly holiday.
The regeneration project has significantly transformed Billing Aquadrome, adding new attractions such as a bike pump track, a skate park, a fountain splash zone, and adventure golf featuring the longest hole in the UK.
The activity lake now offers various water sports, including inflatables and paddleboarding, ensuring a wide range of activities for all family members, as reported by the Northampton Chronicle & Echo.
Geoffrey Smith, CEO of Meadow Bay Villages, expressed his enthusiasm about the park’s first summer season under their ownership.
“We have invested heavily in the regeneration of the five resorts under our ownership, and Billing Aquadrome is a fantastic park located amongst stunning scenery within the Nene Valley,” Smith said, as quoted in the report.
“We have carried out a comprehensive program of improvements to reinvigorate the holiday experience on offer at this resort.”
Billing Aquadrome caters to the growing market of staycation holidaymakers who seek high-quality facilities and activities without the hassle of international travel. The park offers a range of accommodation options, from luxury lodges to glamping pods, ensuring a premium memory-making experience for all visitors.
Among the upgraded facilities, guests will find an indoor heated swimming pool with a flume, a children’s splash zone, and a jacuzzi. The newly added amphitheater is perfect for enjoying open-air movies, live performances, and major sporting events such as the Euros or Olympics.
Dining options have also been enhanced, with The Boatyard Kitchen serving meals from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm and Baked & Swirls offering a selection of Lavazza coffees and delectable baked goods.
To mark the park’s rejuvenation and attract visitors, Meadow Bay Villages is offering a 50% discount on caravan holidays at Billing Aquadrome throughout the summer and the remainder of 2024. To take advantage of this offer, guests must book before June 16, using the code WELCOME50 on the Meadow Bay Villages website.
Meadow Bay Villages acquired Billing Aquadrome and Cogenhoe Mill in March, rescuing the two parks from a period of administration. Smith expressed confidence in the fresh start for each resort, building on their existing popularity and providing a new vision for the future.
The park’s transformation aims to provide a memorable and enjoyable experience for visitors. With its extensive new facilities and half-price staycation offer, Billing Aquadrome is set to become a prime destination for summer holidays.
