The Caravan Salon Düsseldorf 2022 is near, once again luring caravanning enthusiasts from Germany, Europe, and the rest of the world to the city.
Messe Düsseldorf and the sponsor Caravanning Industrie Verband (CIVD) greatly anticipate the arrival of the 61st Caravan Salon, which takes place from August 27 to September 4, with a preview on August 26, as per the News report of Aboutcamp BtoB.
After two years amid the Covid pandemic, visitors can look forward to the world’s biggest caravanning trade fair, where over 650 exhibitors will be showcasing recreational vehicles (RV) for just about every taste and budget in 16 halls and on the outdoor spaces.
With the motto, ‘connected through passion,’ once again, the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre will become the most crucial meeting point for all caravanning enthusiasts.
Alongside motorhomes, caravans, and camper vans, the line-up includes vehicle equipment, components, detachable parts, tents, mobile homes, caravanning and camping accessories & equipment, outdoor garments and gear, tourism destinations as well as nature regions, campsites, and caravan pitches.
As the vast choice, the hallmark of Düsseldorf offers many halls that allow various line-ups, ranging from mini caravans with a berth and stove for small budgets to luxury motorhomes, to showcase everything it can give to caravanning enthusiasts.
The Caravan Salon is where nearly all renowned national and international manufacturers launch the latest generation of motorhomes and caravans.
This year’s event also expands beyond the exhibition halls, bringing many visitors to the popular Caravan Center at Messe parking lot P1, Europe’s largest RV park boasting about 3,500 serviced and unserviced pitches.

Caravan Salon is also extraordinarily well-positioned in the accessories, technical equipment, and detachable parts segments. No other event for caravanning worldwide offers experts and end-users a broader, more comprehensive, and international line-up of products.
The special show “Abenteuer Selbstausbau” will be staged in the outdoor spaces between Halls 5 and 9 for the first time. Here several self-fitted recreational vehicles can be “inspected” and put through their paces.
Various daily talks for beginners, advanced and professional DIY practitioners cover such themes as module installation, layout planning, electrical installations, lightweight construction materials, water supply, workshop and material science, interior, costs, and time consumed.
On August 29, visitors will see the 2nd “Deutscher Stellplatz-Tag” (German Pitch Day) held at the Caravan Salon to present successful pitch concepts and promote further expansion.
Focal themes include a pilot project for climate-neutral motorhome pitches, Wine meets Caravanning, and “Einstellen, Abstellen, Unterstellen” – the new portal for RV shelter solutions.
On the outdoor premises between Halls 10 and 17, CIVD will stage a unique special show on innovative pitch technology and infrastructure in its proven manner.
Here seasoned experts and manufacturers will exhibit the current modules for successfully planning motorhome pitches. A special focus here will be on e-mobility. Like in previous years, visitors will have the opportunity to get expert advice on site.
Hall 3 focuses on the themes Equipment & Outdoor and Travel & Nature. The Equipment & Outdoor segment presents suppliers of tents, folding caravans, caravanning, camping accessories, and outdoor wear and gear.
In the Travel & Nature segment, visitors can find the complete range of caravanning and camping tourism. Here the most attractive campsites and pitches, the most attractive regions, and the most versatile leisure activities are all on show.
The “centerpiece” of Hall 3 is the “Travel & Nature CONNECTED” stage with a versatile and informative mix of entertainment and presentations. The interactive agenda mixes face-to-face with digital appearances – interested parties can join online and ask questions via a chat function.
