ACSI Announces 2026 Award Winners Across European Campsites

Campsite guide provider ACSI has announced the winners of its ACSI Awards 2026, recognizing campsites across Europe based on feedback from campers. The awards, now in their fifth year, are determined through a public voting process that drew nearly 100,000 votes from travelers across the continent over recent months.

Participants selected their preferred sites across nine categories, including “best campsite for cycling,” “best campsite restaurant,” and “most dog-friendly campsite,” in addition to naming an overall “best campsite” in each participating country.

In the United Kingdom, Deepdale Camping, located along the Norfolk coast, was named the top campsite, while Killarney Flesk Caravan and Camping Park received the same distinction in Ireland. Across Europe, awards were presented in 24 countries, although not every category was awarded in each market due to ACSI’s minimum voting threshold requirements.

According to a press release published by ACSI, the awards reflect direct consumer sentiment, offering campsite operators insight into what guests value most in their experiences. Recognition can also serve as a marketing tool, particularly as travelers increasingly rely on peer recommendations when choosing accommodations.

ACSI director Ramon van Reine has presented several of the awards at industry events in countries including Austria, Spain, and Denmark, with additional presentations ongoing.

“The remaining awards and certificates will be presented by our inspectors, who are an essential part of ACSI. It is fantastic to see how many enthusiastic campers across Europe cast their votes and how proud campsite owners are to win an ACSI Award. It is, of course, the ultimate reward for often many years of dedication and commitment.”

Among other national winners were Esterel Caravaning in France, Union Lido Mare in Italy, and Camping La Ballena Alegre Costa Brava in Spain. In the Netherlands, Camping De Kleine Wolf was also recognized as the country’s top campsite.

For business owners in the outdoor hospitality sector, the awards highlight the growing importance of customer engagement and experience-driven offerings. Categories such as cycling amenities, pet-friendliness, and on-site dining indicate evolving guest expectations.

Operators may benefit from aligning their services with these trends, as well as encouraging satisfied guests to participate in review and voting platforms that influence industry recognition.

The ACSI Awards 2026 underscore the role of guest feedback in shaping reputations and provide a benchmark for operators seeking to differentiate themselves in a competitive European camping and caravan market.
