RVDA of Canada President Eleonore Hamm to Retire at End of 2026 After 31 Years With Association

The Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association of Canada (RVDA of Canada) announced that President Eleonore Hamm will retire effective Dec. 31, concluding a 31-year career with the association that has spanned most of its 40-year history.

Hamm joined RVDA of Canada in 1995 as an executive assistant and advanced through the organization to become executive vice-president before being appointed president in 2009.

According to the association, her tenure has been marked by leadership in industry advocacy, organizational growth and representation of Canadian RV dealers on national issues.

Board Chair Ken Dobson said Hamm’s contributions have helped shape the association and strengthen its standing within the RV industry.

“On behalf of our members, directors, volunteers, partners, and colleagues across the industry, we extend our deepest gratitude to Eleonore for her extraordinary service,” Dobson said.

“The relationships she built, the standards she established, and the credibility she created will remain an important part of RVDA of Canada’s foundation for years to come,” Dobson added.

The association credited Hamm with helping establish a stronger national voice for Canadian RV dealers on issues including taxation, regulations, trade and workforce development.

It also said she guided the organization through economic shifts, trade uncertainty, supply chain disruptions and the COVID-19 pandemic while maintaining a focus on dealer interests.

Among the milestones highlighted by RVDA of Canada was Hamm’s induction into the RV/MH Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2021, recognizing her contributions to industry advocacy and education.

The association also emphasized the relationships she built with members and industry stakeholders during her leadership.

RVDA of Canada said it will recognize Hamm’s career throughout the fall with member stories, industry events and special tributes.

The celebration will conclude during the RV Dealers International Convention/Expo in Las Vegas, where the association plans to honor her years of service.

The association also announced plans for a leadership transition. Its board of directors has retained Crown Jewel Recruitment to conduct a national executive search for the organization’s next president.
