Pathfinder Ventures, a provider of premium RV resort and camping experiences, secured the Right of First Refusal (ROFR) on five individual RV resorts in Eastern Canada. Additionally, the company has signed an agreement to manage these resorts beginning in 2024, signaling an expansion for the company.
The agreement covers four RV assets in Ontario and one in Nova Scotia. The properties are in popular tourist destinations, including Haliburton, Muskoka, Marmora, Niagara, and Cheticamp in Nova Scotia.
Under the 24-month ROFR, Pathfinder has the exclusive opportunity to acquire these properties. This agreement bolsters the company’s presence in key recreational areas across Ontario and Nova Scotia.
In a press release, Joe Bleackley, founder and CEO of Pathfinder Ventures, highlighted the company’s developments, saying, “This expansion is not only significant but also strategically positioned to tap into thriving markets across Ontario and Nova Scotia.”
Pathfinder’s management of these five resorts will increase the total number of properties under its operation to nine. The resorts are primarily seasonal, catering to long-term and short-term vacationers, which aligns well with the company’s existing portfolio.
The company anticipates that managing these additional properties will increase revenue and streamline operations. “By securing the Right of First Refusal for these RV assets and entering into management agreements, Pathfinder is now poised for considerable growth and success in the recreational vehicle park industry,” Bleackley said.
According to its website, Pathfinder Ventures has established a presence in British Columbia’s RV and camping industry, as well as the RV and self-storage sector, by operating three camp resorts. The Agassiz-Harrison resort is positioned just outside the Harrison Hot Springs. This resort is unique in the Agassiz area, offering the only hard-roofed accommodations with eight renovated cabins, full hookup RV sites, and a heated pool and playground. Additionally, there is a plan for further expansion of this property.
In the heart of Fort Langley, Fort Camping offers 156 RV sites, a group tent area, and five tent cabins, which offer a budget-friendly glamping alternative. In Parksville, the resort showcases 128 full hookup sites equipped with amenities. It accommodates large RVs requiring 50 amp pull-through sites.
