A clear indication that summer is just right around the corner–the Long Point Conservation Authority (Ontario, Canada) will open its campgrounds for the 2022 season this Sunday.
As per a report, Pittock, Fanshawe, and Wildwood Conservation areas officially open for the season on Sunday, May 1.
Season passes for all three conservation areas are available.
The conservation areas offer overnight camping, fishing, boating, hiking trails, and more.
Pittock Conservation Area offers a day-use area for special events, 248 campsites, picturesque and private group camping facilities, a large lake for boating, sailing, and fishing, modern washrooms and laundry facilities, 5 km of hiking and biking trails, a campground swimming pool, summer recreation programs, children’s splash pad, and an 18 hole disc golf course.
They also offer a rental program including canoes, kayaks, shelter, and sporting equipment.
According to its website, Long Point Region Conservation Authority has more than 600 campsites across five Conservation Areas, including Backus Heritage Conservation Area, Deer Creek Conservation Area, Haldimand Conservation Area, Norfolk Conservation Area, and Waterford North Conservation Area.
