Nominations for CCRVC’s 2022 Awards Now Open

If you know someone from the camping and RV industry with outstanding performance and contribution, this is your chance to nominate them for an award at the 2022 Canadian Camping & RV Council (CCRVC) Awards.

The winners of the prestigious awards will be announced during the Canadian Outdoor Hospitality Conference & Expo happening from March 8-10.

While nominees must be a member of their Provincial Association and CCRVC, those submitting nominations do not have to be a member of the association or be registered to attend the event to nominate.

Nominees are also not required to be registered to attend the conference.

“In the event a winner is selected who is not registered to attend, we will connect with them to ensure they can join the ceremony and receive their award on March 10th,” said an announcement on the conference’s website.

Awards to be given include Person of the Year, Campground of the Year, Supplier of the Year, and Rising Star Award.

Last year’s winners include Surf Grove Campground (Tofino, BC) who bagged the award for Campground of the Year (Small), Marco Polo Land (New Glasgow, PEI) for Campground of the Year (large), and CampgroundBooking.com who was dubbed Supplier of the Year.

Leeanne Sallenbeck of South Point Resort (Canim Lake, BC) took home the Rising Star award, while Jim Humphrey of Beaver Lake Resort (Lake Cowichan, BC) was recognized as the Camping and RV Industry Person of the Year.

“We have already quite a few more awards nominations than we got last year in total, so things are looking good for it to be a bit more competitive, which is nice,” CCRVC Member Services Coordinator Cara Csizmadia told Modern Campground.

A final awards ceremony will take place virtually on March 10.
