Manitoba is set to launch its 2025 campground reservation system for provincial parks. Bookings will open on April 7 and run for five days.
The system will allow reservations for campsites, cabins, yurts, and group-use areas in different regions on specific days.
According to an article published by Global News, Environment Minister Mike Moyes announced the details on Friday, emphasizing the province’s commitment to outdoor recreation.
“Spring is here and Manitobans are looking forward to spending quality time in nature,” Moyes said.
Reservations will be available at 7 a.m. each day through an online portal, by phone at 204-948-3333 in Winnipeg, or toll-free at 1-888-482-2267. Walk-in reservations can also be made at 1181 Portage Ave. in Winnipeg from Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The staggered reservation schedule will begin April 7 with bookings for all cabins, yurts, and group-use areas.
Campsite reservations open in phases: April 8 for Birds Hill, Winnipeg Beach, and Grand Beach; April 9 for Whiteshell Provincial Park; April 10 for northern and western campgrounds; and April 11 for all remaining locations.
The province recently announced in its budget that entry fees to all provincial parks will be waived for the year, a move expected to encourage more visitors to explore Manitoba’s natural attractions.
Moyes highlighted the appeal of local travel. “This year, as Canadians are choosing to explore closer to home, Manitoba’s provincial parks offer incredible destinations for adventure, relaxation, and discovery,” he said.
