Elk Island National Park (EINP) has announced that reservations for summer 2023 camping will open on Thursday, March 30, at 8 a.m.
This is a highly anticipated event, as Parks Canada expects a busy year and other national parks have seen significant increases in reservations on their launch days compared to previous years.
EINP, located in Alberta, Canada, has two campgrounds – Astotin Lake Campground and Oster Lake Backcountry – and both will be accepting reservations from May 19 to October 9.

“Some 50 percent and some as high as 125 percent, we are preparing for a significant increase from last year’s 666 reservations on January 25,” Cornoc added.
