Pathfinder Ventures Inc., a company developing a network of premier branded, upscale, and family-friendly RV parks and campgrounds under the “Pathfinder Camp Resorts”, has recently announced that Cathy Butler will be joining their board of directors. This significant appointment awaits the green light from the TSX Venture Exchange.
Cathy Butler has an impressive record in the storage and Recreational Vehicle (RV) industry. Butler is the Co-founder of Black Sheep Ventures, a company that owns and operates a portfolio of four self-storage sites and two RV resorts in British Columbia and Alberta (Canada).
Her successful career has seen her embark on an array of large-scale projects including a CA$34 million storage portfolio that found a new home with Real Storage (now known as Storage Vault).
Butler’s career encompasses not only the ownership and operation of storage and RV resorts but also considerable expertise in the real estate sector. She co-founded Beltline Brownstones Inc., a company specializing in operating multi-family properties. Early on in her career, she also co-founded Natural Borders Reforestation which eventually merged with New Forest Contractors and was later absorbed by Fairfax Financial.
In addition to her entrepreneurial prowess, Butler’s career boasts a strong background in finance. She has been registered as an Alberta Securities Commission portfolio manager and has had experience in the private equity research sector as an analyst and in business development. These positions were held with prestigious firms such as The Blackstone Group, Avenir Capital, and Wilmington Capital.
