A must-see at this year’s Queensland Supershow will be the unveiling of the latest South African-built hybrid campers from Perth’s Mobi Nomad.
Slated from June 6-11 at the Brisbane Showgrounds, the expo offers attendees their first look at the company’s pioneering off-road camper designs, according to a report by Caravan Camping Sales.
Highlighting Innovation in Off-Road Camping
The respected Perth-based Mobi Nomad will display two recent additions to their collection: the 15ft 6in Mobi Nomad Continental and the brand-new Mobi Nomad XL compact camper. Built for the modern adventurer, these robust fiberglass campers integrate practicality and sophistication, leaving an impressive mark on the off-road camping scene.
A Closer Look at the Mobi Nomad Models
The Mobi Nomad models are set apart by their fiberglass monohull bodies, galvanized steel chassis, and heavy-duty leaf spring suspension. Designed with storage and usability in mind, each camper features an array of slide-outs, recessed cavities, and pop-top sections. Further enhancing safety on the road, the campers are equipped with reliable drum brakes.
Priced from AU$69,500, the Mobi Nomad Continental boasts a roomy 4.7m long by 2.1m wide body. The interior, featuring a permanent double island bed, a fold-out table with seating, a 135L fridge/freezer, and an ensuite with shower and toilet, offers home comforts while on the road.
Its standout features – an outside kitchen, a 100Ah lithium battery system, and impressive water capacity – position the Continental as a compelling contender in the camper trailer market.
The smaller yet versatile Mobi Nomad XL provides a generous 1.9m standing room, housing a double bed and cozy dinette. Just as with the Continental, the XL also flaunts a hot water unit, two batwing awnings, an external shower, and an outdoor kitchen area.
Though its price has not been listed on the Mobi Nomad website, the XL offers potential buyers a lightweight camper option, with a Tare weight of around 850kg and a 1500kg ATM.
Exciting Displays Beyond Mobi Nomad
The Queensland Supershow will play host to an array of new models from a variety of manufacturers. Attendees can look forward to the launch of Snowy River’s latest 2024 caravan range, Vision RV’s VH-16 hard-top hybrid caravan, and Zone RV’s latest Expedition hybrid, among others.
Additional Supershow Features
The event, spanning six days, offers more than new model unveilings. With over 200 exhibitors expected, the Supershow will highlight accessory brands like Wheel Sensei, an innovative safety product that monitors the temperature of trailer wheel bearings remotely.
Attendees can also participate in free weight, towing, and touring ‘masterclasses’ to enhance their knowledge and skills.
Visitors also stand a chance to win a 15th Anniversary Edition MDC Explorer Forward Fold offroad camper trailer. Offering an exciting blend of industry innovation and consumer education, the forthcoming Queensland Caravan Supershow is set to offer a unique and engaging experience for both camper enthusiasts and industry insiders.
