The caravan and camping industry in Australia’s New South Wales (NSW) is set to receive a boost thanks to the new Feel More. Live More campaign, a half-million-dollar initiative launched by the Caravan & Camping Industry Association NSW (CCIA NSW) in partnership with Destination NSW.
The campaign, which is the latest phase of a decade-long strategic partnership between the two organizations, aims to continue the growth of the caravan and camping industry in NSW by promoting the sector and driving visitation to regional tourism destinations and caravan parks, according to a press release.
Running statewide and interstate, the campaign includes television and digital ads supported by five major park groups in the state. It has a reach across Sydney, northern NSW, southern NSW, the Gold Coast, the ACT, and regional Victoria, with a focus on attracting visitors back to flood-affected towns and regions to help drive their economic recovery.
“Caravan and camping holidays are hugely popular because they offer some of the most desirable, unique, affordable, and accessible experiences with options for almost any budget,” said CCIA NSW CEO Lyndel Gray.
Last year, NSW saw 4.2 million caravan and camping trips, a 6% increase on the previous year, generating $2.8 billion worth of spending, and supporting local economies, job creation, and regional communities.
The six-week campaign begins on Sunday, March 12. It spans TV and digital, including editorial content highlighting holiday parks affected by floods and showing them now open, safe to visit, and welcoming visitors.
“We are very pleased to once again be partnering with Destination NSW in promoting our sector and driving visitation to NSW regional tourism destinations and the amazing caravan parks on offer,” Gray added.
The caravan and camping industry in NSW has been a powerhouse for many years, and the new Feel More. Live More campaign is set to ensure that it remains a vital contributor to the state’s economy.
With the support of industry leaders and the NSW government, the campaign is poised to achieve its goal of promoting the sector and driving visitation to regional tourism destinations and caravan parks.
Through this campaign, caravan and camping enthusiasts across the country are encouraged to pack their bags and head out to experience the beauty of NSW and the incredible caravan and camping sites on offer.
