Myall River Camp has secured significant recognition at the North Coast Tourism Awards. The camp won the gold award in the ‘Excellence in Camping, Glamping and Caravanning’ category for the second consecutive year, along with a bronze award in the ‘Eco Experience’ category for their environmental sustainability efforts.

Individual staff members were also honored at the ceremony. Maree Milne received the gold award for ‘Tourism Employee’. Camp owners Selina and Rob praised Maree’s dedication, enthusiasm, and role.

“Maree’s energy is boundless as she carries out her multifaceted roles with enthusiasm, and she works with her partner Mac to ensure a seamless off-grid experience that highlights the area’s natural beauty,” Selina and Rob explained, as reported by News of the Area (NOTA).

Milne acknowledged recent “weather challenges” but emphasized the significance of their Eco Certification. “The weather has not been too kind to us lately, but we put lots of work into it, and the Eco Accreditation was a big one, as only a handful of places have it in NSW,” she stated.

According to its website, Myall River Camp’s glamping tents offer a luxurious yet eco-friendly escape. The amenities include queen-size beds, custom furnishings, a private ensuite with a composting toilet, and a fully equipped kitchen with a gas cooktop and fridge.

Guests can also enjoy outdoor features like a sunken lounge overlooking the river, an undercover BBQ, and private river access for swimming or fishing. Each tent is off-grid with solar-powered USB ports.

The approach of Myall River Camp underscores the importance of offering diverse offerings and eco-friendly practices to attract a broad spectrum of guests. By providing a range of options, from camping to glamping and caravanning, the camp meets the varying preferences of travelers and ensures repeat visits.

Furthermore, integrating eco-friendly practices adds another layer of value for guests who prioritize sustainability. By blending diverse offerings with sustainable initiatives, campground operators and glamping owners can appeal to eco-conscious travelers who seek destinations that align with their environmental initiatives.
