Tasman Holiday Parks in Christchurch is set to complete significant pool renovations by mid-December 2024, just in time for the summer holiday season. The upgrades, aimed at enhancing the guest experience, are part of a broader effort to improve facilities at the park. The renovations will provide a revitalized space for families and travelers visiting Christchurch to relax and enjoy exploring the city.
Construction is slated to begin in September 2024, with the project including several improvements to the pool area.
“We’re thrilled to announce that our Christchurch park is undergoing a significant pool revamp as part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing guest experiences… Our refreshed pool area will offer a revitalised space for families and travellers to relax and enjoy after exploring the beauty of Ōtautahi, Christchurch,” the park indicated in a LinkedIn post.
One feature of the renovation is the removal of the existing pool slide, which aims to enhance safety and create a more modern environment. Alongside this, new access stairs and handrails will be installed to improve accessibility for all visitors. These modifications are part of the park’s broader initiative to make its facilities more inclusive for guests.
Further improvements include infilling the children’s pool to create more usable space for families.
As part of the renovation, an accessible bathroom and changeroom will also be installed. These facilities will improve comfort for guests with mobility challenges and ensure that all visitors can fully enjoy their time at the park.
Along with functional upgrades, the pool area will receive updated landscaping. The new design aims to create a fresh, vibrant atmosphere that enhances the overall guest experience.
To further enhance the guest experience, the renovation will include improved ventilation and glazing in the pool area.
While construction is underway, park officials assure guests that every effort will be made to minimize disruption. “Our teams are working diligently to ensure minimal disruption to your holiday experience during this period. Once finished, we can’t wait for you to enjoy the newly revitalised pool area, perfect for family fun and relaxation,” the park announced on its website.
