Sunseeker Village and Caravan Park Caloundra, encompassing a 4.42-hectare site at the southern tip of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, is now on the market. Expressions of interest are invited until Wednesday, May 22, noting if it has not been sold prior.
The property, located in the suburb of Little Mountain, consistently maintains nearly 100% occupancy year-round. This announcement comes from Gareth Closter and Mark Walsh of JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group. For the first time in 40 years, the Sunseeker Village is available for purchase after being held under single-family ownership.
Walsh, vice president of JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group, underscored the site’s potential for expansion. “This offers excellent opportunities for the expansion of the existing park by introducing higher yielding accommodation for which there is proven demand,” he said, as quoted in a report by The Hotel Conversation.
Strategically situated, the park is just a short drive from well-known beaches and the central hub of Caloundra, which boosts its appeal significantly. Currently, 65% of the site is developed, providing established amenities while leaving 35% available for further enhancement.
Walsh added, “Caloundra starts a very well-known stretch on the Sunshine Coast that includes other popular destinations such as Mooloolaba, Maroochydore, Coolum Beach, and Noosa, which makes the location of the Village an enviable one.”
The Sunshine Coast is experiencing a population boom, with an increase of approximately 8,000 new residents per year.
Gareth Closter, senior vice president at JLL, described the sale as a unique opportunity for the acquisition. “Sunseeker Village represents a generational opportunity to acquire an established village in the beautiful and high-demand Sunshine Coast region, and with significant developments close by, such as Aura Caloundra South and the rail line connecting the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay, and Brisbane, we expect this campaign will generate substantial interest,” Gareth explained.
Sunseeker Village and Caravan Park’s strategy, which has successfully maintained nearly 100% occupancy year-round, provides a model for caravan park owners. This high occupancy rate is primarily attributed to the property’s excellent location and its ability to consistently meet the needs of its customers. By closely monitoring local and regional tourism, owners can optimize their offerings to enhance guest satisfaction and retention.
