The National RV Dealers Association’s (RVDA) convention in Las Vegas last week was a resounding success, with over 1560 dealers, exhibitors, and industry partners present at the event.
RVDA reports that this year’s numbers constitute 97 percent of their 2019 attendance.
A workshop on building a successful team concluded the 2021 RV Dealers Convention/Expo at Paris Hotel, Las Vegas, on November 12. The five-day convention was kicked off on November 8.
The week was full of positive cheers as members of the industry got together to network and build up their industry knowledge. The event also allowed for RVDA’s annual meeting, awards, training, and workshops, plus more.
Mike Pearo of Hilltop Camper and RV (Fridley, Minnesota) was chosen to be the RVDA Board’s chairman for 2021-2022 during the annual general meeting of the U.S. RVDA. Furthermore, Josée Bédard of Roulottes Chaudière (Levis, Quebec) was elected as chair of the board during the annual general meeting of the association’s Canadian counterpart.
Association members were also recognized at the 2021 RV Dealers Convention/Expo. Larry Troutt of Topper’s Camping Center (Waller, Texas) and Mick Ferkey of Greeneway RV (Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin) received the James B. Summers Award.
In addition, outgoing Chairman Chris Andro from Hemlock Hill RV Sales (Southington, Connecticut) presented Chairman’s Service Awards. Dealer recipients were Earl Stoltzfus of Stoltzfus RV & Marine (West Chester, Pennsylvania); Nathan Hart of Walnut Ridge Family RV Sales (New Castle, Indiana); and Mike Pearo of Hilltop Camper & RV (Fridley, Minnesota). Bill Koster of Protective Asset Protection was the industry recipient of the award.
Thirty-one Vendor Training + Plus workshops were held at the event. Other learning opportunities were five educational courses discussing dealer operations, digital marketing, sales, management, and more.
The RVDA also announced that “the on-demand portion of the RV Dealers Convention/Expo” is scheduled to start on November 29, where in-person attendees are pre-registered for the virtual event.

The 2022 RV Dealers Convention/Expo will be held on November 7-11 next year at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
