The Florida RV Park and Campground Association (FRVCA), in collaboration with the Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC), will host a 45-minute webinar on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 2 p.m. Eastern Time to help campground and RV park operators understand GMI and assess whether it could affect their properties.
Presented by Electrical Works, the GMI Preparedness Webinar will cover what GMI is, what operators can expect, and how to determine whether their parks may face related requirements or concerns. The session will also give attendees an opportunity to ask questions of the presenters and learn about potential next steps for evaluating their properties.

The webinar is intended to help outdoor hospitality businesses understand the subject and prepare for possible implications for their facilities. Electrical infrastructure is an important operational consideration for campgrounds and RV parks, where electrical systems support guest sites, recreational vehicles, common areas, and other property amenities. Understanding applicable standards and potential assessment needs can help operators identify questions to raise with qualified electrical professionals.
According to the association’s announcement, the session will pair a recognized code authority with practical guidance for attendees. It will also offer a one-time opportunity for participants to bring an evaluation team to their parks. Additional information about the evaluation opportunity, the presenters, and the webinar agenda is available in the event flyer distributed to members.
The organizers have also provided supporting documents from Electrical Works as preparatory materials. However, the association emphasized that these documents are intended to supplement, rather than replace, participation in the live webinar.

For campground and RV park owners, the session may provide an opportunity to clarify whether GMI warrants further investigation at their properties and to identify the information needed to assess potential next steps. Operators who participate can use the question-and-answer portion to seek clarification directly from the experts, helping them better understand the topic before deciding whether additional professional evaluation is appropriate.
The webinar, titled “GMI Preparedness Webinar presented by Electrical Works, hosted by FRVCA/ARVCA,” is scheduled for Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 2 p.m. Eastern Time. It will be conducted through Zoom and is being promoted to FRVCA members. The link to the Zoom meeting can be found here.
Participants can join using the meeting information provided in the association’s announcement. The Zoom meeting ID is 863 0440 0135, and the passcode is 098844.
The announcement does not define the GMI acronym or specify particular compliance deadlines, technical requirements, or potential costs for park operators. Attendees seeking to determine how the subject applies to their properties may therefore benefit from using the webinar to clarify the terminology, establish whether further assessment is necessary, and identify appropriate follow-up steps.
