The RV Technical Institute (RVTI) and Truma will offer three additional product training courses through December, providing RV technicians with hands-on instruction and 16 Continuing Education Credits per two-day course.
The courses will cover Truma heating, hydronic, cooling and water-heating systems, including combined and on-demand units. Training will be held at the RV Technical Institute’s (RVTI) headquarters in Elkhart, Indiana.
The remaining 2026 courses are scheduled for Oct. 20-21, Nov. 17-18 and Dec. 15-16. The program is open to all participants and does not require prerequisites.
According to a News and Insights report of RVIA on October 8, technicians seeking to apply the training hours toward RV Technical Institute Level 3 Appliance Specialty certification must already hold Level 1 and Level 2 certifications. The courses also fulfill Truma’s training requirements.
The training partnership continues an initiative launched last year between RVTI and Truma. Several classes have already been held in 2026 as part of the program.
Each course provides hands-on instruction focused on Truma’s product systems. The training is designed to provide technicians with direct experience working with the company’s heating, hydronic, cooling and water-heating equipment.
The courses will take place at 3333 Middlebury St. in Elkhart, Indiana. Participants can register through Truma, while the registration form is also available through the RV Technical Institute’s store.
RVTI is also seeking additional partnerships with vendors and suppliers interested in hosting RV technician training courses at the Institute. Companies interested in partnering can contact Justin Rickett, RVTI director of industry relations, at jrickett@rvti.org.
The October course is the next scheduled session, followed by the November and December classes. Each session is structured as a two-day program and carries 16 Continuing Education Credits through the RV Technical Institute.
