A new £650,000 indoor venue featuring an arcade, dining options, and an entertainment stage is set to open at Billing Aquadrome in Northampton ahead of the Easter holiday period, part of ongoing investments aimed at expanding year-round amenities at the holiday park.
The facility, called The Venue, will provide indoor entertainment space designed to support activities and performances throughout the year. Park operators say the addition will allow the property to host events and programming regardless of weather conditions, a feature that may help extend visitor engagement beyond the traditional outdoor-focused seasons.
The opening is scheduled to coincide with the Easter school holidays in 2026. To mark the launch, the park plans to host three weeks of activities, live performances, and family-oriented experiences.
According to the park’s announcement, scheduled activities include an Easter scavenger hunt, a festival-style event featuring bubbles, neon lighting, and music, as well as interactive attractions such as a spy-themed experience, a dinosaur adventure, and a science playground. Visitors will also have the opportunity to participate in a flash mob event.
Evening programming during the holiday period is expected to include a foam party, silent disco, glow show, and other entertainment. The events are intended to take place throughout the Easter break, a period that traditionally sees increased demand for family travel across the United Kingdom.
Nikki Rathie, holidays director at Billing Aquadrome, told the Northampton Chronicle & Echo: “Easter is always a truly special time for families at Billing Aquadrome, and after the incredible response to last year’s programme, we wanted to make 2026 bigger and even more exciting.
With The Tribe bringing their incredible energy and festival vibes to the park, alongside thrilling adventures, hoppy trail scavenger hunts, and festival-style shows, there are endless opportunities for families, and their dogs, to join in the fun.
“We are dedicated to creating unforgettable experiences at Billing Aquadrome, and the unveiling of our new indoor entertainment space, The Venue, alongside our Easter entertainment lineup, reflects our ongoing commitment to the resort, following a multi-million-pound investment programme that has enhanced facilities and amenities across the park.”
Billing Aquadrome has undergone a series of upgrades since it was acquired by Meadow Bay Villages. The broader investment program has included the addition of new eateries, an aquapark, a BMX pump track, mini golf, and expanded accommodation options.
For operators in the outdoor hospitality sector, the development highlights an approach increasingly adopted by holiday parks and resort-style campgrounds: adding indoor, weather-resistant entertainment spaces to support shoulder-season and off-season visitation.
Indoor venues can also create new revenue streams through food and beverage sales, ticketed entertainment, and special events while improving the overall guest experience during periods of unfavorable weather.
As more parks explore year-round operations, multipurpose indoor entertainment facilities are becoming a strategy used to diversify amenities and strengthen destination appeal.
