Campsite Domaine de Longemer, located in a listed natural environment near Gérardmer in the Vosges region of France, continues to operate year-round with a focus on steady, four-season tourism.
Situated approximately 100 metres from Lake Longemer in Xonrupt-Longemer, the four-star property positions itself as a nature-based accommodation offering designed to support both peak-season demand and off-season occupancy.
A key element of the site’s year-round strategy is its wellness facility, “L’Instant nature,” which remains open seven days a week throughout the calendar year. The wellness area operates daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., with extended hours until 9 p.m. on selected evenings.
Facilities include a sauna, hammam, indoor and outdoor jacuzzis, and a relaxation room where complimentary tea and coffee are provided. Views of the surrounding natural landscape are visible from the spa areas, reinforcing the site’s positioning within a protected environment.
Pricing for the wellness area is set at €16 per person for a 1-hour and 15-minute session, or €22 for 2 hours and 30 minutes. The facility can also be reserved for private use by groups of between two and 12 people.
In addition, massage services, including Californian massage and hot stone treatments, are available for individuals or couples, starting at €71 per hour, with spa access included. These services are offered year-round and are intended to complement accommodation bookings, particularly outside the traditional summer camping season.
According to Vosges Matin, accommodation at Domaine de Longemer is structured to support seasonal flexibility. The site offers 20 fixed accommodation units, including villas, chalets, bivouacs, and lodge tents.
During the summer season, the campsite opens 180 pitches for traditional camping. In winter, when demand patterns shift, 48 pitches remain available and are specifically allocated to caravans, allowing the site to continue operating during the colder months and to capture winter tourism linked to mountain activities in the Gérardmer area.
For professionals in the outdoor hospitality industry, Domaine de Longemer provides an example of how diversified accommodation types, wellness infrastructure, and transparent pricing can contribute to year-round revenue stability.
Its operational model highlights how investment in non-seasonal amenities, such as wellness facilities and winter-ready pitches, can reduce reliance on peak summer occupancy while appealing to a broader customer base seeking short stays, wellness breaks, and off-season nature experiences.
