THOR Industries Releases Eighth Annual Sustainability Report, Highlights Environmental Achievements

THOR Industries, a recreational vehicle manufacturer, released its eighth annual sustainability report, highlighting significant environmental achievements and the introduction of the ENTEGRA COACH EMBARK, a range-extended electric class A motorhome

The report details the company’s fiscal year 2025 (ended July 31) efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, expand eMobility, and advance sustainable operations across its global family of companies.

“At THOR, our sustainability efforts focus not only on creating more innovative products to minimize environmental impact while using our RVs but also focus on improving our environmental and social impact within our operations, our value chain, and in the communities where our team members live, work and play,” said Bob Martin, THOR president and CEO.

He added that the company is committed to making changes now to ensure a sustainable future.

The launch of the EMBARK motorhome illustrates THOR’s eMobility strategy, aimed at reducing reliance on internal combustion engines.

The company also showcased Dethleffs’ e.home ECO prototype at the Düsseldorf Caravan Salon, which integrates electric mobility with sustainable construction practices, using components with a lower carbon footprint than traditional RVs.

THOR’s sustainability report outlines key environmental milestones in FY2025, including a 36% reduction in global Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions compared with Fiscal Year 2019 and a 42% decrease in Scope 3 emissions versus Fiscal Year 2022.

Solar installations across North American operations have eliminated 4,611 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent, equivalent to removing 1,076 gasoline-powered vehicles from the road for one year.

The company also executed a zero-to-landfill strategy at Erwin Hymer Group UK, established partnerships with more than 150 non-profit organizations, and aligned reporting with the upcoming European Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive.

“Creating great outdoor experiences is central to our business, and our sustainability focus strengthens our ability to deliver on that mission,” said Todd Woelfer, THOR senior vice president and chief operating officer.
