In an unprecedented move for the outdoor hospitality sector, The Yurtopian – Dripping Springs, a luxury glamping resort in Texas, is being awarded to one winner through a public raffle-style giveaway.
Announced July 16, the initiative is a collaboration between The Yurtopian and the American Glamping Association (AGA) aimed at expanding ownership opportunities in the growing glamping industry.
According to an article published by AGA, the giveaway offers a chance for individuals—rather than corporations—to assume full ownership of a $7 million turn-key resort in Texas Hill Country.
Tickets start at $10, and participants can use the code “GOAGA” to receive two bonus entries with any purchase.
The drawing is open to the public, with full eligibility details and terms available online.
The winner will be announced live on September 30 during the AGA Welcome Reception at the Glamping Show USA in Colorado.
The prize includes not just the property, but a fully operational and revenue-generating business, allowing the new owner to bypass traditional barriers to entry in outdoor hospitality.
“This isn’t just a giveaway — it’s a rare chance,” said Ruben Martinez, founder of AGA. “It allows someone to bypass the usual barriers — the land, the buildout, the years of development — and step straight into owning a proven, revenue-generating glamping business.”
Located near Austin, the 46-acre Yurtopian resort features 10 private luxury units with rooftop decks and hot tubs, a reception lodge with an office, three barns, a spa yurt, and a 2,000-square-foot home that can serve as an owner’s residence or additional guest space.
The Yurtopian is known for its consistent occupancy and customer loyalty. Each accommodation is designed for privacy and immersive nature experiences, aligning with rising demand for experiential travel and wellness-driven retreats.
The AGA will also offer ongoing support to the winning entrant through its professional network and member resources. The goal is not only to transfer ownership but also to foster long-term success for the new operator in the evolving glamping landscape.
Before the winner is announced, interested parties can hear directly from the resort’s founders at the AGA Pre-Show Workshops on September 29.
Ann-Tyler and Brian Konradi will share insights during a panel discussion on financing strategies for glamping startups and expansions.
The session, titled “Navigating Loans & Lending: How Operators Secured Glamping Capital,” will cover approaches including SBA loans and private funding—key knowledge for those entering or scaling within the industry.
