Sturgeon Falls Campground Wins KOA Award

Kampgrounds of America, the largest system of open-to-the-public campgrounds in the world, has awarded Sturgeon Falls KOA Holiday Campground the 2022 KOA President’s Award as well as the KOA Founder’s Award.

The awards were handed out on Tuesday at KOA’s Annual International Convention in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a report said.

The KOA President’s Award is presented to campgrounds that meet the highest quality standards and top customer satisfaction ratings from their campers. KOA conducts surveys to thousands of campers every year about the quality of their KOA camping experience.

The KOA Founder’s Award was named in honor of Dave Drum, who founded KOA on the banks of the Yellowstone River in Billings, Montana in 1962. The award is KOA’s top honor for service. It is only awarded to KOA camp owners and managers who achieve world-class ratings in both customer service as well as the KOA Quality Review.

“Our President’s and Founder’s Awards are driven by camper feedback and, especially in a year with a higher number of new campers, it points to the work that’s been done to ensure each guest has the best outdoor experience,” says said KOA President Toby O’Rourke.

“These KOA owners have made the right investments in their campgrounds to make them the very best in North America.”
