Performance Brokerage Services has announced the sale of Airstream of Utah and Airstream of Wyoming from the Decker family to Windish RV Center, marking an expansion milestone for the Colorado-based dealer.
Dennis and Laura Decker, who founded both dealerships, built a strong reputation for personalized customer service and family involvement in the Airstream community.
Dennis’s background in Wyoming’s RV market laid the foundation for his later ventures in Utah and Wyoming.
After launching Airstream of Utah in 2017 to fill a gap in the state’s dealership network, the Deckers expanded their footprint by opening Airstream of Wyoming in September 2022. Both locations quickly gained recognition for service quality and customer relationships.
Alongside Airstream of Wyoming, the Deckers own Grand Buffalo RV Resort in Etna, Wyoming, which will remain under their ownership and continue to serve travelers seeking upscale RV accommodations.
“Each person that came to our two dealerships, Airstream of Utah and Airstream of Wyoming, entered as a guest and left as family,” Dennis Decker said in a press release.
The Deckers emphasized the importance of finding a buyer who shared their family-oriented values, ultimately selecting Windish RV Center, a family-owned dealership group established in 1965.
“Finding the perfect buyer was of paramount importance. The Windish RV team met all the criteria we were looking for,” Laura Decker said.
Laura Decker also credited Jesse Stopnitzky of Performance Brokerage Services for guiding the transaction with care and ensuring a smooth transition for both parties involved.
Stopnitzky, co-owner and director of the RV Division at Performance Brokerage Services, acted as the exclusive sell-side advisor for the deal and praised both families for upholding high standards throughout negotiations.
