RV enthusiasts from across North America are gearing up for the Family RV Association’s (FRVA) 111th International Convention & RV Expo, taking place July 16 to 19 at the CAM-PLEX Multi-Event Facilities in Gillette, Wyoming.
Open to FRVA members and the general public, the event is themed “Rock & Roll High School” and promises a nostalgic celebration packed with RV-related learning, entertainment, and community connection, according to a press release.
FRVA, formerly known as the Family Motor Coach Association, is transforming this summer convention into a playful blend of education and fun.
“We want to transport attendees back to their high school years — to remember those magical days between adolescence and adulthood, including the music they loved. And, as part of the ‘school’ experience, they’ll be able to enhance their RV knowledge with more than 100 seminars presented by industry experts and other knowledgeable folks,” said Doug Uhlenbrock, FRVA’s director of events.
In addition to seminars, the convention will feature themed festivities such as the “Jukebox Hero” Costume Contest and the “Rock The Night Away” Dance Through The Decades.
Adding star power to the gathering, Discovery Channel’s Kevin and Patrice McCabe — hosts of RV There Yet? — will present product sessions, join in on convention fun, and screen the episode they filmed at FRVA’s March 2025 event in Perry, Georgia.
Whether seasoned RVers or newcomers to the lifestyle, all are welcome. Special sessions like “RV Essentials” will run on July 17 and 19 at noon, giving first-timers a primer on the RV experience.
For those staying on-site, camping options are available at additional cost. General registration is $270, while non-campers can opt for the “Full Passport” at $205 or a “One Day Passport” for $50.
Admission to the RV Expo only is $10 per person or $25 for families, with free entry for children 12 and under and anyone with an active military ID. The expo will be open from the afternoon of July 16 through July 19.
FRVA, headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, is the largest not-for-profit RV organization in the world, boasting nearly 110,000 members.
It offers a wide array of member benefits and promotes RVing through rallies, local chapters, and national gatherings.
Events like this highlight the growing vibrancy of RV culture in North America. As more families and individuals look for meaningful, flexible travel experiences, the RV industry continues to thrive — and conventions like FRVA’s provide not only education and fun but also inspiration for the road ahead.
