Campground Views has reached a new milestone with the launch of its 3,500th immersive virtual tour, marking steady growth since the company’s introduction of its 360° video technology in June 2021.
Starting with just 143 tours at launch, the platform has steadily expanded across North America, providing virtual walkthroughs of campgrounds, RV parks, and outdoor destinations.
In June 2025 alone, the company recorded 863,274 virtual tour views, which it reports as a monthly record.
The data also shows that these views led to 49,427 direct booking actions, while average engagement time was 1 minute and 7 seconds per tour. Many users, according to the company, spent between four to five minutes exploring individual properties.
“This milestone is more than just a number,” said Mark Koep, Founder and CEO of Campground Views. “It represents years of grit, innovation, and a deep belief in helping people experience the outdoors more confidently. We’ve changed the game, and we’re only getting started.”
The virtual tour platform enables users to explore sites in full 360° video, including campsite-level detail and amenities, which Campground Views says helps campers make informed booking decisions.
The company credits its team of editors, capture crews, and developers for achieving this benchmark.
“As we celebrate Independence Day, we’re also celebrating the incredible dedication of our team—editors, capture crews, developers, and everyone who’s put in the long hours and road miles to make this possible,” Koep said.
“Each tour represents a partnership with park owners who believe in making their destinations more accessible and more bookable.”
According to the company, its technology is currently in use by several large brands in the outdoor hospitality sector, with further partnerships expected to be announced in the near future.
Campground Views reports continued demand from campers for the feature and notes that hundreds more tours are in production.
The company frames this development as part of a broader shift in how travelers research and book camping stays. With 3,500 virtual tours now live, Campground Views suggests that immersive, data-informed previews may increasingly become an industry norm.
