Alpine/Bridger Teton KOA Holiday Joins KOA Network

Kampgrounds of America (KOA) has announced the addition of the Alpine/Bridger Teton KOA Holiday to its network of campgrounds.

Owned and operated by Dennis and Laura Decker, along with their sons Josh and Zach and their wives, Tiffani and Madison, the family-run property officially joined the KOA system.

The Deckers entered the camping industry after establishing a successful Airstream dealership, Airstream of Wyoming.

Seeking to create a quality camping experience for their customers, they opened The Grand Buffalo RV Resort. Their decision to convert the campground into a KOA Holiday reflects a long-term commitment to enhancing outdoor stays for travelers.

Located in Etna, Wyoming, the Alpine/Bridger Teton KOA Holiday offers sweeping views of Star Valley and convenient access to prominent natural destinations. The campground also sits near Bridger-Teton National Forest, Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, Jackson Hole, and the Palisades Reservoir.

“We are excited to elevate the camping experience in Star Valley with KOA,” Laura and Dennis Decker, owners of the Alpine/Bridger Teton KOA Holiday, said in a press release.

“By joining the KOA family, we aim to provide our guests with the highest quality amenities and services, while contributing to the local economy and showcasing the natural beauty of the state of Wyoming,” they added.

According to KOA’s 2024 Camping and Outdoor Hospitality Report, campers spent $61 billion in local economies last year, with an average daily expenditure of $200.

The report also noted that 27 percent of campers seek experiences in small towns, while another 27 percent are interested in food tourism—trends that align with the offerings of the Star Valley region.

KOA Holiday campgrounds are designed as base camps, featuring full-service RV sites with KOA Patio amenities and Deluxe Cabins with private bathrooms. These sites cater to both short-term guests and long-term vacationers seeking a consistent and comfortable experience.

The Alpine/Bridger Teton KOA Holiday includes some of the largest RV sites in the Jackson Hole and Yellowstone ecoregion and offers free Wi-Fi throughout the property.

Plans for the campground include an expansion to 150 sites and the addition of indoor pickleball courts, hot tubs, and a restaurant.

The campground is located at 109474 U.S. Highway 89 in Etna, Wyoming. It is open seasonally from May 1 through Oct. 31.
