CAMP Door County, a recently opened campground and RV resort in Sister Bay, will host the inaugural CAMPGrass Music Festival on Oct. 4, bringing bluegrass music and family activities to the site.
The one-day festival is designed as a celebration of music and community, with organizers aiming to establish it as an annual event.
Scheduled to perform are four groups: local band Heartland Howlers, Wisconsin-based touring acts Dig Deep and Rodeo Borealis, and Illinois artist Chicago Farmer.
The lineup was chosen to combine local talent with musicians from across the Midwest, creating a mix intended to draw both residents and visitors.
In addition to live music, the festival program includes a tie-dye workshop and pumpkin carving, offering activities for all ages throughout the day.
Food trucks and vendors will also be on-site, providing food and retail options to complement the performances and activities.

CAMP Door County opened over Memorial Day weekend. Founded by brothers Matt and Chris Hockers, the campground is situated in a wooded setting and offers 77 sites with full hookups for electricity, sewer, water and Wi-Fi.
The property features the Pine Lodge & Lounge and the Pine Provisions store, amenities intended to provide both convenience and leisure for guests.
The event is described by CAMPGrass as “a celebration of community spirit” and noted the intent to spotlight regional and national musical artists in a family-friendly environment.
“We are incredibly excited to launch the CAMPGrass Music Festival and bring such a vibrant celebration of music and community to our area,” Operations Director John McMahon said, as reported by Green Bay Press Gazette on September 29.
“Our goal is to create an unforgettable experience that highlights the rich tradition of live music in Door County while also building new connections and memories for everyone who attends,” McMahon added.
The festival will take place at CAMP Door County, located at 10663 County ZZ, Sister Bay. Gates open at 9 a.m. for a full day of scheduled activities.
Admission is free for those camping at the site. Public admission is $20 for attendees ages 13 and older, while children 12 and under are admitted free.
The event also provides an opportunity to showcase the newly opened campground as both a lodging destination and a cultural venue for Door County visitors.
