Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission Holds Meeting in Ilwaco

The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission will have its regular commission meeting on Thursday, April 14 at the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum in Ilwaco.

According to a press release, commission actions include the 2023-25 budget capital target level and proposed modifications to the Klickitat State Park Trail’s long-term park boundaries.

The commission will also hear updates and reports from agency staff from the Washington State Parks Foundation.

A working session is planned for the day prior to the regular meeting, which is scheduled on Wednesday, April 13. The sessions are open to the public. However, the public will not have the opportunity to comment or take formal action.

The commission will tour Cape Disappointment State Park beginning 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12. It begins at the North Head parking lot.

On Friday, April 15, the commission will tour Leadbetter State Park beginning at 8:30 a.m. The public is welcome to attend the tours but must provide their own transportation.
