The Colville Elks Lodge #1753 has officially opened a 10-space RV park, marking the completion of a project more than a decade in the making.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Aug. 19 to celebrate the addition of new accommodations for visitors to Colville.
The RV park is located beside the Dominion Meadows Golf Club to appeal for travelers seeking both recreation and convenience. The park represents an investment in local tourism while also supporting members of the Elks Lodge.
“Elks members will receive priority booking, but the park is open to non-members and is expected to attract RV travelers from across the country,” Exalted Ruler John Moser said, as reported by Statesman Examiner on August 27.
The project relied on contributions and assistance from several local businesses. Moser credited Columbia Cedar, Haney Lumber & Supply, Vaagen Brothers Lumber, Interstate Concrete & Asphalt, and PAR3 Fencing & Outdoor Services for helping complete the park.
The opening adds another option for RV travelers visiting northeastern Washington, where camping and outdoor recreation are major draws for tourists. The lodge expects the park to benefit both visitors and the broader community by increasing overnight stays in the region.
According to the park’s website, the facility will operate seasonally, with RV space rentals typically available from March 1 through the end of November. Spaces include city water hookups and both 30- and 50-amp electrical connections to accommodate a range of RVs.
Payment options are available online, though guests can avoid a convenience fee by paying directly at the lodge’s lounge upon arrival. Wireless internet is accessible in the lounge and on the outdoor deck, with login details provided at registration.
To manage demand, the lodge has placed limits on length of stay. Guests may stay up to 10 days. Restrooms are available in the main lodge building, with secure access codes given to registered visitors.
The Elks Lodge lounge, open to members and their guests, also serves as an amenity for those staying at the park. Summer hours run Wednesday through Sunday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., with schedules adjusted during the winter months.
Elks RV Park also emphasizes environmental stewardship by incorporating sustainable practices that preserve the natural beauty of Colville. The park promotes energy efficiency, reduces its ecological footprint, and works to protect the surrounding landscapes.
