Society of Certified RV Professionals Celebrates New and Renewed Certifications

The Society of Certified RV Professionals recently announced the recognition of 24 individuals from ten participating dealerships who earned new certifications and two individuals who renewed their certification during the first quarter of 2023.

Certification in the RV industry plays a crucial role in improving customer service and satisfaction, setting high professional standards, and adding more skilled manpower to the RV technician vocation, according to a press release.

The newly certified professionals participated in the Mike Molino RV Learning Center Fixed Operations Certification Program. These individuals demonstrated their commitment to excellence and joined an elite group of certified personnel by successfully meeting the industry’s high standards.

Phil Ingrassia, president of the National RV Dealers Association (RVDA), congratulated the professionals and their dealerships for their accomplishments, stating, “Not only do they elevate our industry, but on an individual level, each joins an elite group of certified personnel who have successfully met high professional standards.”

In addition to the newly certified professionals, two individuals renewed their certifications, showcasing their dedication to staying current in the ever-changing RV industry

Fixed-ops professionals can earn certification as parts managers, parts specialists, service writers/advisors, service managers, and warranty administrators through the Mike Molino RV Learning Center, which offers online testing, certification, and recertification.

Certified personnel provides numerous benefits to the RV industry by improving the customer experience. They become more efficient, contributing to better dealership Repair Event Cycle Time (RECT) and higher customer satisfaction.

The certification program was developed through a collaboration between experts at The Ohio State University’s Center for Education and Training for Employment, demographically diverse working professionals, suppliers, distributors, dealer-owners, and manufacturers.

The Society of Certified RV Professionals’ recognition program aims to address the shortage of skilled RV technicians by promoting certification and encouraging participation in the Mike Molino RV Learning Center Fixed Operations Certification Program.

As more professionals become certified, the industry can continue to grow and maintain high standards of service.

Participation in the recognition program allows the society to publicize individuals’ certification achievements on the national level. Those participating in the recognition program are a subgroup of 42 individuals from 21 dealerships who earned certification during the first quarter of 2023.

The Society of Certified RV Professionals promotes and recognizes certification among employees who work in the RV industry.

By encouraging certification and recognizing the achievements of professionals, the society aims to improve the overall state of the industry and address the RV technician shortage.
