Kiptopeke State Park in Virginia will host its Annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 13 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., inviting families to enjoy a spring afternoon filled with seasonal activities.
The egg hunt will begin at 2 p.m., with guests encouraged to arrive early for games, crafts, and a meet and greet with the Easter Bunny.
Children can participate in a scavenger hunt while collecting eggs throughout the park. Guests will also have the opportunity to take photos with the Easter Bunny as part of the celebration.
“Bring your baskets and hop over to the park to enjoy an afternoon of Easter-themed festivities,” said Assistant Park Manager Stephanie Venarchick.
The Easter Egg Hunt is also part of a series of events scheduled at Virginia State Parks throughout April, many of which highlight environmental education and community involvement. These events coincide with Earth Day, observed annually on April 22.
“On April 19, we will preserve the beauty of the Big Water Visitor Center by cleaning out flower beds, weeding the walkways, and planting native species,” said Kiptopeke State Park Manager Sean Dixon.
The Earth Day Cleanup is open to all visitors and will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Participants should meet at the Big Water Visitor Center and are advised to bring gardening gloves and wear suitable clothing for outdoor work.
