Nine Mile RV Resort marked its official opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, June 14, signaling a new stop for travelers along Highway 6 in Wellington, Utah.
McKay Quinn, speaking on behalf of Nine Mile RV Resort, said the location was selected for its convenient position in the Carbon Corridor, about halfway between Salt Lake City and Moab.
Quinn noted that easy highway access was a priority in the planning phase.
“Nine Mile RV Resort is in Wellington, Utah. We’re in the Carbon Corridor halfway between Salt Lake City and Moab,” Quinn said, as reported by Castle Country Radio.
“We built this here intentionally because we’re right on Highway 6 with easy access to the highway,” Quinn added.
The resort offers accommodations for overnight guests and also provides options for longer stays, catering to travelers who want to spend more time exploring the region.
“We offer long-term guests, so you can stay monthly and live here,” Quinn added.
According to the resort’s website, the idea behind Nine Mile RV Resort was to create a convenient resting point for those heading deeper into Utah’s remote desert landscape.
As part of its amenities, the resort features a swimming pool, laundry facilities, a convenience store, firepits, reservable pavilions, and an on-site taco truck, which Quinn highlighted as a draw for guests seeking more than basic camping options.
“If you want nice amenities like a swimming pool, on-site laundry or an on-site taco truck, we’re the place for you,” Quinn said. “We are excited to be here for both nightly and monthly guests.”
