Four Utah Properties Named Among Best Camping Spots in 2025 Hipcamp Awards

Four Utah properties have been recognized among the nation’s top camping destinations in the 2025 Hipcamp Awards, announced this month by the campsite-booking platform.

Hipcamp selects its winners annually based on guest reviews, unique offerings, and geographic diversity, according to Jenna Valdespino, the company’s global brand marketing lead.

Teardrop Arch B&B, located within the Navajo Nation in Monument Valley, earned a spot on Hipcamp’s “Best Cabin Rentals in the U.S.” list.

Operated by a Navajo host, the lodging offers views of Monument Valley’s plateaus and spires directly from the porch, along with sunsets and sunrises that many reviews have highlighted.

The three-bed studio shares bathroom facilities with the host’s home but provides a picnic table, fire pit, and pet-friendly accommodations. Rates start at $128.55 per night, including taxes and fees.

Glamping Canyonlands, situated about 40 minutes from the Needles District of Canyonlands National Park near Monticello, was named one of the nation’s best dark-sky campsites.

Among its nine accommodations is the Off-Grid Stargazer Tent, which features ceiling windows for indoor stargazing, a deck, and an outdoor fire pit. Rates for the tent are $190.66 per night with taxes and fees.

Ranchito Feliz, near Cannonville, also made the best dark-sky list. Positioned between Bryce Canyon National Park and Kodachrome Basin State Park, it offers six RV-friendly sites, is horse-friendly, and has burros and dogs on-site. Guests can stay for $53.31 per night, including fees and taxes.

Zion Wright Ranch Eco-Camp in Virgin earned two distinctions: it was named one of the best tent camping sites in the United States and the best campsite in Utah for 2025.

Located on 1,200 acres overlooking the Kolob Terrace region of Zion National Park, the property offers horseback riding alongside camping and glamping options. Sites are available for $46.94 per night with taxes and fees.

“That’s a continuous award winner,” Valdespino told The Salt Lake Tribune. “They have thousands and thousands of reviews and bookings. They host tents and RVers, and they’re right outside the park.”

This year’s recognition comes as Utah experiences rapid growth on the Hipcamp platform, with a reported 124% year-over-year increase in listed campsites — one of the highest growth rates among all U.S. states. Of the 15 Utah sites included in Hipcamp’s 2025 “Best in Utah” list, four also earned national honors.

For outdoor hospitality professionals, these recognitions highlight the market potential for properties that combine distinctive natural settings with tailored guest experiences.

From dark-sky viewing to cultural immersion, the awarded sites demonstrate how unique location-driven offerings can attract high guest satisfaction and visibility in competitive online marketplaces.
