Backroads Unveils 2026 Glamping Tours in Arches and Yellowstone National Parks

Backroads has announced two new glamping-focused multi-adventure itineraries launching in 2026, expanding its portfolio of luxury outdoor experiences in partnership with Under Canvas and ULUM

These additions are designed to meet growing demand for elevated camping accommodations combined with active travel itineraries in iconic national park locations.

The newly introduced Arches National Park Glamping Multi-Adventure Tour will be based at ULUM Moab, a luxury outdoor resort developed by Under Canvas.

Located near Moab, Utah, ULUM Moab offers guests access to the region’s dramatic red rock landscapes while providing upscale accommodations in safari-style canvas Suite Tents.

Guests can expect amenities such as dipping pools, firepits, a yoga deck, and a full-service restaurant featuring a coffee and smoothie bar. The itinerary is tailored for adults traveling solo, as couples, or with friends.

Also launching in 2026 is the Yellowstone Glamping Multi-Adventure Tour, which will offer both adult and family options.

Guests will stay at two Under Canvas properties near Yellowstone National Park—one in West Yellowstone and the other in North Yellowstone’s Paradise Valley. These camps have been recognized by Travel + Leisure for their blend of luxury and proximity to the park’s natural attractions.

According to a press release, both itineraries allow travelers to engage in outdoor activities such as hiking and biking, followed by evenings in well-appointed tents with modern comforts.

“Our new glamping trips let you hike, bike and sleep under the stars—in a real bed, after a hot shower,” said Tom Hale, founder, president, and CEO of Backroads. “It’s a whole new way to experience the outdoors without giving up some of your favorite creature comforts.”

These new offerings reflect broader industry trends in the outdoor hospitality and glamping markets, where travelers are increasingly seeking immersive, nature-based experiences that do not sacrifice comfort.

For business owners in the outdoor hospitality sector, this continued integration of luxury amenities with outdoor adventure suggests sustained growth potential for high-end glamping destinations, particularly near national parks.

Backroads’ broader glamping tour portfolio already includes other destinations such as the Black Hills & Badlands National Park, Bryce & Grand Canyon, Great Smoky Mountains, and Utah’s Bryce & Zion, each tailored to different group types, from solo travelers to multi-generational families.

The 2026 tours mark a strategic investment in expanding glamping as a core component of the company’s active travel offerings.
