The Headrest Safe Company has partnered with Grand Design RV Company to include its patented in-vehicle safe storage system as standard equipment in all Lineage Class C motorhomes.
The agreement marks a strategic move by both companies to offer RV consumers enhanced security features for their valuables while traveling.
The Headrest Safe, designed as a discreet and tamper-resistant storage solution, enables drivers to secure items such as firearms, cash, and personal documents inside a vehicle’s headrest.
The product will now be integrated into Grand Design’s new Lineage line, broadening its availability in the recreational vehicle market.
“Now more than ever, drivers need effective ways to secure their valuables, especially in the event of vehicle break-in and theft,” Louis Tuck, COO and CFO of The Headrest Safe Company, said in a press release.
“We developed The Headrest Safe as an innovative solution for drivers to commute and travel without the added stress and worries of their valuables being stolen,” Tuck added.
The Lineage motorhome is Grand Design’s first foray into the motorized RV segment. Known for its towable RVs, the company is expanding its footprint while maintaining its focus on high-quality manufacturing and customer service.
“The Lineage name recognizes that the brand is an extension of our strong Grand Design foundation while simultaneously representing what is passed forward over time,” said Don Clark, president and CEO of Grand Design RV.
“We are looking forward to adding a safe and secure way for our consumers to store their valuables while on the road,” Clark added.
The addition of The Headrest Safe is part of Grand Design’s broader strategy to provide added functionality and safety for RV users. The Lineage line will be produced at the company’s existing facility in Middlebury, Indiana, which serves as its central hub for manufacturing operations.
The Headrest Safe Company emphasizes the durability of its products, which are built using automotive-grade materials, 18-gauge steel for the safe structure, and a 16-gauge steel door with a steel locking mechanism. The safes are designed to blend with most vehicle interiors.
